Community Guidelines

Onslow's is a community for pet parents. These guidelines keep it safe, friendly, and useful for everyone.

Be respectful

• No harassment, bullying, name-calling, threats, or personal attacks
• No targeting someone based on their breed choice, training methods, or how they care for their pet
• Disagreements are fine — be constructive, not hostile
• No pile-ons: if someone made a mistake, one correction is enough
• Don't organize or encourage others to target, report, or harass another user

Keep it honest

• Don't impersonate other people, pets, or service providers
• Don't post misleading health advice (e.g., “you don't need to vaccinate”)
• Don't fabricate reviews for groomers, vets, or daycares
• Don't use fake photos or misrepresent your pet's breed, age, or history
• Don't create multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban

Protect animal welfare

• No content showing, promoting, or encouraging animal harm, neglect, or abuse
• No breeding solicitations or puppy mill promotion
• No sharing of lost/found pets without verifiable contact info
• If you see something concerning, report it immediately

No spam or soliciting

• No selling products, puppies, or services in the feed or communities
• No repetitive posting of the same content
• No promotional links, affiliate codes, or referral spam
• Service providers have dedicated profiles — use those, not the social feed

No scams or fraud

• No fake service provider profiles or reviews
• No phishing, impersonation, or attempts to collect personal information
• No requesting payment through the app for unverified services

Keep it appropriate

• No explicit, violent, graphic, or sexually suggestive content
• No content depicting animal fighting, abuse, or cruelty
• No drug or alcohol references in pet-related contexts
• This is a family-friendly app — if you wouldn't show it at a dog park, don't post it

Respect privacy

• Don't share other people's full names, addresses, phone numbers, or photos without consent
• Don't post photos or videos of other people's pets without permission
• Don't share screenshots of private conversations or DMs
• Don't reveal someone's location based on their park check-ins
• Don't use someone else's pet photos as your own

Park and community conduct

• Don't use park check-ins to track or stalk other users
• Don't use park chat to harass regulars or start conflicts
• Report aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions honestly — don't weaponize reports
• Respect community moderators — they're volunteers keeping spaces useful

What happens if you break the rules

• First violation: content removed and a warning
• Second violation: temporary suspension (1–7 days)
• Third violation: extended suspension (7–30 days)
• Serious or continued violations: permanent ban
• Severe cases (threats, abuse content, scams): immediate permanent ban
